Happy Thanksgiving!

The cacophony of construction sounds is finally over outside our classroom window! This weekend is extra long, to boot! What more could we want? There is a PD Day this Friday, so no school for the students. We have Thanksgiving off on Monday. As such, our weekly spelling test will be on Thursday (tomorrow). Our WOW word (Word of the Week) has been cacophony (with an "...ony", not "...any"). I encourage students to use the WOW word in their speech throughout the week to expand their vocabulary. Feel free to make it a challenge at home as well! My own father used to select a word of the week every Sunday at dinner ; ).
