Lent is the 6-week period beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending at Easter. It is a solemn observance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Traditionally, Catholics will fast in some way and will give up something, as Jesus did when fasting in the desert for 40 days. Lent is about preparing our minds and hearts to be open to the love of God by remembering Jesus's life and death.
We will be attending an Ash Wednesday morning mass at Holy Cross Parish this Wednesday, March 6th, at 9:30 am. Our parent community is welcomed to join us.
